Daybook

FOR TODAY, Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Outside my window... sunny and hot. Thankful the village just picked up the branches Ben cut down.

I am thinking... about my dad. I'm so thankful for him!

I am thankful for... being able to work part-time so that I'm still able to be home quite a bit!

From the kitchen... pulled pork nachos

I am wearing... khaki shorts and a light blue t-shirt, barefoot of course!

I am creating... unless you count laundry piles as creating something, I've got nothin'!

I am reading... the Bible, and "The Excellent Wife." I'm probably the only person in the world who didn't know this, but if you read 3 chapters of the Bible a day, you can read the whole thing in a year. I am now attempting it. That seems very do-able.

I am praying...
-for my dad's health... bad news yesterday. Cancer is spreading. :( He's currently in the hospital on pain meds and awaiting radiation.
-for my niece and nephew at church camp this week. Praying for my niece to develop a relationship with Jesus (my nephew has one).

I am hoping... to find my energy (perhaps I should be napping with Matt)

Around the house... the AC is running (so thankful for AC)

One of my favorite things... clean spaces

Pondering these words... "be not anxious..." and pondering this thought-- why does my baby take such short naps? He took a 3-hour nap yesterday for my husband, but 45 minutes is his longest nap for me in recent memory.

A few plans for the rest of the week... plans are very much "up in the air" at this point

A picture thought I'm sharing... "let me get a little closer to inspect this grass..."

So sorry to hear your dad is not improving :-\
For the Bible reading, you might find it more consistent on time needed if you determine how many pages you need to read each day.. some of those chapters are ..l..o..n..g.. ;-)
((But GO FOR IT however you decide!))
